Gun owners and conservatives are up in arms over Attorney General Eric Holder's denouncement of "Stand Your Ground" laws, in particular his line about a "duty to retreat."
"There has always been a legal defense for using deadly force if – and the 'if' is important – no safe retreat is available," Holder said Tuesday at an annual NAACP convention in Orlando. "But we must examine laws that take this further by eliminating the common sense and age-old requirement that people who feel threatened have a duty to retreat."
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
"If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here." - Barack Obama, June 7, 2013
Eric Holder and Obama are both frustrated that Americans are armed. They could care less whether we can defend our lives, our homes, or any where if we're threatened by intruders or criminals intent on killing us. Just goes to show common sense does not prevail in their way of thinking.

While all of the above is true, I would humbly suggest that they do show a great deal of common sense in trying to disarm the people.
You have to see it from their perspective. Every good tyrant/dictator/wannabee must first disarm the people to attain complete and total power over them. Every past tyrant has done this, i.e, Hitler and his gun control policies.
So for them to be successful in their evil agenda, enforcing some type of gun control, is common sense to their way of thinking.
Americans need to wake up.
America's hope is not the donkey or the elephant, but the Lamb.

I couldn't agree more. People like Holder don't parrot this nonsense because of ignorance, they do it because of agenda. You can bet your bippy they haven't issued orders to their bodyguards to "just retreat, don't meet a danger head on!".
And the one thing you can believe is that they and their families are protected by armed guards 24/7.
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
