Sen. John McCain’s daughter says her dad is “depressed” and “frustrated” with the tea party faction of the Republican Party, which she called “the hyper-conservative wing.”
A state of mind many in the tea party can relate to in their radical pursuit of a more fiscally responsible, limited federal government.
“We’re both frustrated with the idea that only the hyper-conservative wing of the party is going to represent the masses,” Meghan McCain said during an interview with ABC and Yahoo News.
You're a brave man. Go and break through the lines. And remember, while you're out there risking your life and limb through shot and shell, we'll be in be in here thinking what a sucker you are. ~Rufus T. Firefly
Unintentionally, Rufus, the sentiment expressed above puts the lie to the false bravado on constant display from the Tea Party types which you represent.
John McCain is a 77 year old, wildly unpopular, politician from a conservative state who, by his own daughter's admission, is "depressed".
And, yet, so bleak are your prospects for defeating him three years hence that you're openly fantasizing about him committing suicide, instead.
You are, indeed, an appropriate spokesman for the Feckless Fringeballs, Rufie.

If he went over to the "D" side, he'd then have to compete with the likes of Schumer and Durbin for face time on the TeeBee.
It makes more sense - from his standpoint - to just stay an "R". It's a win-win.
He wins by getting guaranteed permanent guest slots on the Sunday Shows - and the MSM wins be claiming they are "fair and balanced" because they have an "R" on their program.

He would lose committee chairmanships where all the really serious bribe money comes from, too.
Nobody in DC wants to lose seniority because of all the perks that go with it.
