Our US Navy has one purpose. That is to project force. If it is diminished as Obama wants, he can remove us as the world's lone Superpower. China will replace us. And we will not be able to rise to the same stature and challenge China for decades because of the beating our economy is facing.

Obama is attacking America on many, many fronts. He has been very successful. By the end of his second term we will look back on the Obama era and feel the force of his changes for at least the next fifty years. He's going to be worse than FDR. It's the stuff of nightmares once China and our agreements with nuclear disarmament with Russia come into play.

I will disagree with you on China becoming the defacto super power if we are weakened to levels that Zero would like to see. I am more in line with Mark Steyns thinking that it will probably cause a power vacuum where chaos will reign. China is structurally weak. They can barely keep their own house in order. Russia also has serious internal issues that will not allow it to assume a power roll. Without the US leading the way on issues and problems though, all these lesser countries will just do whatever they want and things will spiral out of control faster than if there was an heir apparent.
