Marco Rubio To Hannity: Even If You Raise Taxes On The Rich By 100 Percent, It Won’t ‘Solve Anything’
OK, so I've been thinking... we keep hearing about how the varying impacts of all of these potentially massive tax hikes will have so little impact on the annual deficit (not to even imagine any impact on the debt), you know, could run the government for 8, 16, etc. days. I wish that someone (that has a large public soapbox) would try to bring out the point that this fact should tell everyone how SERIOUSLY LARGE OUR SPENDING PROBLEM IS!
I can't recall the specifics of the absolutely extreme case, it is something like: "If FedGov seized ALL of the personal and corporate wealth (not merely income) that exists in this country, it would cover ONE YEAR of the federal budget!" That there should scare the pants off of anyone with even 1/2 of a functioning brain.
This video with Rubio and Hannity dances around the edges of this (for the N00,000 of folks that may have been watching), but doesn't really scream it out loud. I wish that someone in the House would get on camera at a presser with a few simple charts/graphs and try to jam that point home, loud and clear, and make the total emphasis on the SPENDING.

Problem is half of this country only has half a functioning brain.
Marco Rubio for President! He understands the American dream and has a special way of saying things that impacts people. Hopefully he could have an impact on even those that have half a brain. He's young, dynamic, a great speaker, inspirational when he speaks of his family's American dream. I think he could appeal to the younger people.
