I'm not sure if everyone has noticed, but we don't have mods. I chased them off . Not funny, I know, but it is what it is.

That said can we be mindful to stay on topic, please? If simply trashing someone is the sole purpose of a post maybe we could limit it to one a thread. I don't mind the snark and the teasing when it's a give and take. But to have the sole purpose of a post being to attack one of us escapes me.

I'm late to the thread and only part way through, so maybe it is covered later. Why not take this "topic" (have RTF and CTG normalize it for discussion purposes between themselves) and start a thread in the "Clean Debate" forum? Good idea?

Good idea. But too late I suspect. If a bunch of adults want to pick at eachother like brats with non responsive posts, pick and choose who gets raves for nasty posts, and browse through threads looking for a fight, who am I to stop it? The clean forum is for peope to use if they want to have civil discussion. You all wanted a forum with little modding you got it. My requests for civility are ignored and mocked.

Maybe I'm just a victim of the echo chamber mob mentality

I consider myself an active DU watcher. Over at DU, generally speaking, there is more a push to keep the left united, rather than divided. Posts attacking Obama are quickly attacked by their little swarm.

Because they know that a divided left is a weakened left. If only our side was that smart.
