I have to go with Cedric here on this issue. Seriously, the GOP aren't the ones ramming their agenda through without any regard to the legal process and the constitution. The Dems are winning because they have figured out a way to divide the GOP and make them the scapegoat.

I didn't say the party was perfect at all. I am saying that the Libertarians have a great record of whining but don't have anything else to show where they are at least honestly trying to win elections and building a viable party. Until they get serious about that all they are is hot air.

Just think how things could have been had they spent the time and effort in building the local and state party to the point that there would be some in Congress who could be there to help stop the dems?

What happens when you win primaries with unelectable candidates in the general elections? Christine O'Donnell is the perfect example of winning the primary and losing big time to a bearded marxist in the general. Mike Castle was not a great choice but he would have been one more vote in firing Harry Reid. So now the senate is stuck with a marxist instead of a far more evil GOPe.

I think we need to make a distinction between the National Republican Party and the Republican Party on the State and Local level.

Yes, it is broken in Washington D.C. but let us not forget that the Republicans hold 30 Governor Seats, the Highest for Either Party in Over a Decade and they are ALL doing a very good job !!

And as far as control of state legislatures, here are the stats ...

The party composition of the legislatures (and party summary of the individual chambers), as of 2013, was:

27 Republican-controlled Legislatures

17 Democratic-controlled Legislatures

5 Split Legislatures

1 Officially non-partisan (Nebraska)

Don't buy into that trick of the media and ruling class determining who is electable. America is still majority conservative. The GOP keeps putting up democrat-light and telling us we are wrong for not going with the rhino. YOU CANNOT COMPETE WITH SANTA CLAUSE. Its insane to continue putting up so called "electable" which means ruling-class-approved candidates and then wondering why conservatives stay home and democrats/independents will still not vote for the Rino no matter how much he acts like a democrat.

I feel more frustration with the republican leaders in Washington than anything else. They have to know that Obama is operating around them to get his way and yet we hear nothing from any of them. Maybe a token interest now & then for the camera's sake, but nothing like the outrage they should be expressing.
They are on the front to protect our constitution and they have failed at their job. I get no pleasure voting for any of them.

I agree absolutely with your assessment of the 'enemy within'. However the GOPe have shown they are just as ruthless as the Democrats when it comes to not relinquishing power and perks. They would eat their own and let a Democrat win rather than give up power. The GOPe only differ from the Dems in their window dressing.
