The Republican Party of Ohio has appointed as its executive director a registered lobbyist actively campaigning to redefine marriage in the state, deepening the conflict between voters and the party elite. The move triggered swift backlash, as a coalition of 80 conservatives from across the state issued a letter warning party bosses they “will not support them” in the future.

I really don't understand why all the bowing down to a segment of our population that is less than 1%--is it because most of them are in positions of power ie. Wasington or Hollywood.

Well of course I suspect that your estimate (less than 1%) is probably correct, but we are constantly being "told" that the number is much higher; I've seen it being pushed close to an order of magnitude higher.
And if you went by what the media and Hollywood portrays (which of course we know is sadly what the vast majority of the country does indeed go by), you would think that they are almost one-half of our population. This brainwashing that has gone on for years explains why so many believe that the GOP must bow down if they ever hope to win a national election. This is where we are at, as disgusting as it sounds to us!

Which is funny because the same establishment hacks telling us that we all need to give up on social issues are also telling us that we can lock up the Hispanic vote because they agree with us on the social issues, just not on immigration policy. The GOP is run by disingenuous losers top to bottom.
