1. Obviously, the solution is to remove statists from the leadership and governance of this country, root and branch, regardless of party affiliation.
2. This process should have started around 100 years ago, so at this point I doubt that it is possible.

Go back and read FP's posts, I agree with him.

But a good place to start would be to start calling these statists GOP leaders, senators, et. al. on the carpet instead of constantly defending their statism like you do! When they attack the constitution (aka 2nd amendment shenanigans they are currently doing) start a lawsuit like Levin is doing might be another idea.

Like FP said this should have been done years ago but people like you continued to defend them, so viola, here we are with the Constitution under attack by the very same people we trusted to defend it. At this point it may take another civil war to get back on track. I don't think there is an easy solution now, they are too entrenched and you're all too happy to help them destroy this country attacking those who don't share the blind allegiance you do.

Statism must be defeated not defended or all of our liberties are gone.

Here's a novel idea Cedric, why don't you start putting the Constitution first instead of the GOP first for a change.

There was a study that came out, during the initial Obamamania period, before the 2008 election, which said that the way to win was to fire up the base, rather than attempt to capture the middle. I remember it being highly cited on DU.

Fact is that the GOP has been trying to capture the middle for a long time now and has failed.
