IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HE SAYS HE IS.

He's an idiot that ran off at the mouth and then faced the consequences. These men and women in power think that they are experts on everything. They get in front of the microphone and forget that they should be quiet about issues that they know nothing about. They are not infallible. They are not smarter than the citizens. Their title does not grant them any special knowledge or power. He's just a man. He forgot that and he lost.

Some so-called centrists have done quite well recently. Mark Kirk, Lisa Murkowski, and Angus King are a few names that come to mind.
