Do you see where I am going here? These half assed, short term decisions gave Zero a green light to do what he is doing with the defense of having his predecessor already blazed a trail.

I don't want to agree with you ....but you are right on each point, Frank !!

I think people make the mistake of thinking of W as a conservative ...and therefore they are (were) disappointed.

But, W was a moderate just like his daddy !!

Anyone who was paying attention knew George W. wasn't an across the board conservative, and anyone disappointed in him for not being what he never claimed to be should have done his or her homework.

I'll disagree with the "just like" his father because as a pro-lifer and social conservative, I found him to be far more conservative than his Dad. On other issues, yes, he was a moderate.

Remember that he campaigned on being the "education President?" How any conservative thought that he was an across the board conservative is beyond me.

Bush is no longer in offcie, but we are paying now and will pay for a long time for his sorry leadership and there is no white washing his and his merrymens roles. They gave us obama.

Thanks God? For what? Clinton was out there gang busters getting his guy reelected. Bush was hiding in TX. Even Reagan was out there promoting the party and it's ideals right up until the disease overtook him. Does Bush have any health problem we don't know about? What the hell is his excuse to leave the party in such a damaged shape?

As it stand, Bush is going to be used like Hoover was used for decades. As an example of a failed economic President. You don't have to believe me. Just look at the info in the exit polls. People overwhelmingly blame Bush for the bad economy. That's swell, isn't it? And from seeing Bush's inactivity to correct the record, he believes it too.

I'm going to call you on this one, Frank, because you've used his not being in the public eye against him multiple times.

The following is my opinion based on my observations.....

In 2006 the Republicans lost, not because of Bush, but because they were cowards and weak-willed, just like they are now. Here in Ohio, Mike DeWine ran like a scared rabbit from our troops in Iraq and the President's policy because of public pressure against it (who wants to back the guy being beat up by the bullies?), and he lost to Sherrod Brown. He didn't lose because of the President. He lost because he didn't stand up for principles and against the media (remember the lies about Iraq? the lies about Katrina? remember Mark Foley?).

Since he left office, Bush has done a number of public appearances that have been quickly sold out. He's not nearly as unpopular as you give him blame for. He hasn't been asked to a convention because he's still the scapegoat for all things wrong in the world, and the weak-spined R's are still afraid to stand on their own against the media. The very same quality (or lack thereof) of the Republican party that makes them so weak against Obama is what makes them weak in standing with an honorable former President.

Did you know that President Bush said that he was sorry that they kept referring to the "Bush tax cuts" (even though they were a good thing), because he knew that people hated him so much that even a good thing with his name on it became a bad thing? But who has stood up for him on those tax cuts? Almost no one.

Why he didn't defend himself, I will never understand, but that was his decision. Why no elected Republican stood up on his behalf and defended him on Iraq, Katrina, or anything else, I understand even less. Just like I don't understand their cowardice now.

McCain was a terrible candidate who campaigned against Bush more than he campaigned against Obama.
Obama had the media slobbering all over him and covering up who he was.
There was a lot of white guilt in play.
People were sick of the Iraq war, which the media had lied about for 5 years.
There was a Democrat caused economic crash in September before the election day.
Obama was an amoral, hardcore liar.
The American people were and are ignorant.

Stop denying history to blame everything on Bush. He most certainly did not "give us Obama."

In either case, Romney and W were sure better than the alternatives !!

Yes, your $100T is right in the middle of the range that I see quoted $95-115 T. It varies by which accounts are included. The good news is that more people (even though it is still a small number) are talking about this more accurate number now, a few years ago you had to dig hard to find anyone willing to speak of it.

I voted for Mitt Romney, and I actually thought that he was going to win. Would I have bet $$$$ on it? No. Because I didn't know what level of voter fraud and cheating to count on. In hindsight I guess it was good not to bet $$$. Until I see overwhelming evidence that voter fraud (especially in a few key swinging states) was not a factor, I will hold to my guns that Romney had the election stolen from him.

I can understand why some won't agree. I mean, if you look at what two terrible choices we have:

1. The majority of the people in the country (our fellow citizens) are so far gone that they would actually vote to return this marxist to office.
(Which is accompanied by this: a significant portion of the minority (i.e., those that wouldn't vote to re-elect) didn't see the crisis in stark enough terms to vote for someone that may have not been their first choice. This aspect isn't good either.)

2. Widespread election fraud and cheating were able to steal a national election right in front of our eyes.

Neither choice is comforting by any means.

Hey algernon, that 'called us vigilantes' line is not true. He said "this country is not made up of vigilantes." That's a far different thing than calling everyone who wanted secure borders a vigilante.

Stop misrepresenting the truth as you list your reasons why "Bush is evil." He didn't say that.

I strongly disagreed with his immigration policy and knew very well he wasn't calling us vigilantes.
