No a lot of peoplle bought a bill of goods, newt, if he had been ablle to win the primary, would have lost by a bigger margin than mit, newt is loose cannon and thinks he is brilliant, he is not. And he and mit did not split the rino voted because newt was a one shot wonder, he thought he could carry the south he did not come close. And at the end of the last primary's all you heard for days by the insiders is we got to end this we are damaging the party.
Sorry folks millions satyed home because they did not like your milk toast moderate. Do it again and it will happen again.

I have no quarrel with this....

The Republican party would do well to look at the message that propelled Newt to the top in SC....

It was the stuff Republican victories were and are made of. Newt was channeling the Gipper.

Looking at his public life and his private life, Newt didn't/doesn't have the same track record as his talk, but he was on the campaign trail sending out the right message,
calling the press out for its bias, something nobody else did!!!???.

Look, Newt had a message that would have carried the ticket. Did he stick with it? No. That's why he lost. He got sour grapes after Florida and he didn't fight hard enough on topic to recover.

I tend to agree with Cedric that the primary results are self-explanatory. To say one guy didn't get a fair shot or was cheated out of what was rightly his, because of someone's money or below the belt fighting? What would have happened when that candidate got out in the open with the Obama Machine? Did they have no money? Did they play by fair rules? Get real!

The people chose who they felt was the best candidate after a long and tedious primary season. Now why he lost should be the real topic and I think Frank has some good ideas on that. Mainly, he stopped fighting. Mitt's message was never as inspiring as Newt's IMHO. Mitt was seen as the more stable and mature candidate, definitely on the boring side.

Let's be real here. A lot of the better people who could have run in 2012 did not do so I believe because they didn't want their family trashed by the 0bama worshiping media. They crossed a line during 2008 over Palin and it did affect who put their hat in the ring in 2016.
