Frank, how come Santorum lost his last senatorial run?

Why couldn't Santorum take his home State in the 2012 primary?
He won eleven States, all in the Nation's heartland. No strength shown anywhere else that I could see.

Seems to me the Republicans fielded their best candidate. Money got Romney the election? Who didn't money get an election?

Nice bit of revisionist history there. The only reason Romney made it to the nomination was because he was able to write himself $100 million dollar checks at the drop of a hat. Also the state party apparatuses, which Rove had his fingers in from the '04 election when he had his people installed all over the place like Matt Strawn, had their fingers on the scales. Santorum was kicking the shit out of Mitt until the fake results of the IA caucus gave Mitt the win right before NH. That whole Primary process was loaded with inconsistencies that always just happened to favor Mitt. VA primary ring a bell?


You RINOs keep telling us that the only way we will win the WH is if we pick a RINO. Well guess what? John McCain lost his ass in '08 running as a sainted moderate and Mitt lost his ass running as a moderate. Bush Sr won riding on Reagans coat tails and when he lead as a moderate, he lost his ass too. You guys have a terrible track record so far.

Actually newt should never have run, he is and was as much of a moderate at mit, and his train load of baggage stunk. Without newt, Santorum would have beaten mit going away and obama would have been a one term president.
