You know, that's part of the article I dont agree with.

There is no comparison in the parties if you are a social conservative. The Democrat party is pro-death all the way.

The GOP-e's don't control us. We still have the power at the local and, to a lesser degree, at the state level.

To me, that's where the solution lies.

As i said, that is months away. But anyone that voted for the current speaker, should be heading out the door. One can only hope the speaker is voted out of his congressional seat.

The point still needs to be made, Cedric, because it's the truth (whether acknowledged, or not).

If one is pro-life, and pro-traditional values, you understand that saying that the two parties are the flip side of the same coin is fundamentally false.

I'd like for algernon (or anyone else) make the argument that the vile Democrat party that celebrates abortion and perversion is exactly the same as the Republican party.

Close the primaries, stop the vote fraud, tear up the illegal agreement with the democrats to not pursue voting irregularities. Until then there is no real party difference at the national level as the winners are selected by whoever is counting the votes.

This article is spot on. The only quibble I would have is that local politics is getting entrenched in DC establishment money very rapidly so that getting good candidates is tough. We had a local commissioners race that a Tea Party guy looked good in. He is smart, and had a plan to cut spending and taxes without too much hassle. Instead of the local party getting behind this guy, they ran and backed this loser who lost the job years ago to a minor scandal. All the local GOP dead wood backed the loser and my local US congressman was funneling money into his campaign even though we had a guy running that could win. All the local GOP apparatus were worried they would lose their party jobs if TP candidates started to get elected. The TP guy won, much to the disgust of the local GOP'ers. Totally outrageous. That was in '10 and that was when I said this party as it is set up is not for me. I went to work to get Romney elected, but it wasn't the exciting effort I put forth in other campaigns. The modern GOP is nothing more that a job retention program and has no interest in getting new voters involved or even going out on a limb to stand up for principles. Hell, the congressman that was involved in backing the loser candidate started fooling around with the "No Labels" crowd he is such a beltway loser. And there is no chance to get rid of this guy because they just gerrymandered his seat to super duper safe.
